A 16-year-old teenager in Ohio says God helped him to save his neighbor, who is a car dropped on top of him.
Zac said that he thanks God for the opportunity to save his neighbor.
Clark was in the backyard with his mother when he heard his neighbor screaming for help.
According to CBN News, the neighbor was trapped under a Volkswagen Passat.
“ I guess the jack fell or broke, and the sedan car fell on top of him from the waist up,” Clark said. “The only thing I could see was his legs, and he was battling with the pain.”
Clark then lifted the 3,000-pound car off his neighbor so his mother and the neighbor’s wife could pull the man out of the vehicle.
“He had a couple of broken ribs, and his face was messed up pretty bad, but the doctors told him if it wasn’t for Zac, then he’d be lifeless,”
Zac said.”I was grateful that I was put in the opportunity to be able to save someone’s life. I thank God for giving me the strength to be able to lift the car.”
Clark’s mother, Lora, told CNN that Zac was raised “to be kind to one another, and if you can help, then to help. I’m just very grateful.”
Clear Fork High School, Clark’s football team, tweeted the news last week, calling Clark a “real-life (sic) hero. He has just a big heart,”
the coach said. “Here’s a responsible young man who’s been through tragedy himself with his father passing away last summer, and he didn’t hesitate at all and saved someone’s life.”
“Our left guard, Zach Clark, lifted a car that fell off the jack and on to his neighbor’s chest yesterday. We have a real-life (sic) hero on our football team. His neighbor survived the incident, and the doctor said that Zach saved his life. Good job springing into action Zach!”
Clark’s football coach, Dave, said he was proud of his player.
